In 2017, Justin Shepherd, who served as the Club President and headed the Track Maintenance Committee, achieved recognition as he was honored with the 'Volunteer of the Year' award at the 2017 Motorcycling WA Night of Champions. Justin earned this accolade for his hands-on leadership in coordinating the club's venue relocation and overseeing the construction of the Sukey Hill track. Peter Clark, the President of MWA, commended Justin's extraordinary dedication, stating, "This has been an enormous effort, and while we acknowledge that there are many others that contribute to the building and running of a club, that extra effort by an individual is inspiring to others."

The committee, in accordance with the steering committee's plans, continues to enhance the Sukey Hill Regional Motorcycling Facility venue. Construction has commenced on a Moto Trials site, and they are integrating the motocross track as a component of an enduro track loop, following the inaugural trail ride held at the venue on March 25th, 2017.

Starting in the 2018 season, Cranbrook DMCC collaborated with Albany MCC and Jerramungup MCC to organize the annual Great Southern Tri Series. This event combines competitive and non-competitive races with the aim of promoting the sport within the region.

On December 17th, 2018, MP Rick Wilson announced funding for Stage 2 of the Camping Area Ablution Block development at Sukey Hill Regional Motorcycling Facility. This grant, totaling $32K, is a federal government allocation under the Community Sporting Infrastructure Fund, with the opening of Stage 2 scheduled for June 23rd, 2019.

In 2019, Cranbrook Districts Motorcycle Club made a significant transition, evolving from a grassroots club to a prominent fixture on the WAMX Motocross State Round Calendar. The Double Header event held on July 6th and 7th showcased the club's open, traditional-style natural terrain motocross track to the wider Western Australian community. The event featured 260 riders and attracted 1300 spectators, despite challenging weather conditions. The motocross riders praised the new track, with MX1 & MX2 Champion Reagan Duffy describing it as his favorite WA track, alongside the historic Manjimup MCC track. The live streaming of Round 4 seniors' day drew a record-breaking 20,000 viewers, a testament to the event's success.
