Gunnedah Motorcycle Club, home to Balcary Park, is renowned for its excellent track and facilities, accommodating both riders and spectators. The members and supporters in the Gunnedah district have played a significant role in developing Balcary Park to high standards, offering top-notch amenities for everyone involved.

Since the 1950s, the Club has been a hub for Dirt Track racing, initially at the Porcupine Circuit and later at Balcary Park. In 1982, with the endorsement of the Gunnedah Shire Council, the Club built a new track, culminating in the establishment of Balcary Park after three years of dedicated effort.

The first open meeting at the new track in 1985 drew 120 riders from across Australia, marking the beginning of numerous successful events hosted by the Club, including multiple NSW and Australian Senior and Junior Dirt Track Titles and Championships.

The Club is characterized by its hardworking, enthusiastic members and loyal supporters, contributing to its success. Balcary Park caters to both Dirt Track and Speedway disciplines, offering classes for Junior and Senior riders.
