Off-road biking is incredibly exciting but as with any extreme sport, protective gear is essential – especially when the riders are kids. Any junior dirt bike rider must be protected from their head to toe before hitting the dirt bike tracks. Parents must choose an appropriate helmet, goggles, chest protector, elbow pads, knee pads, gloves, and of course riding boots. For the sake of safety, refrain from skimping — hard-toed boots are NOT a replacement for proper biking boots even if they look tough! Quality riding gear may not be cheap but they need not be expensive either.
